Our Emergency Awareness Course is designed to equip ECD staff, child minders, au pairs, as well as parents and grandparents, with the knowledge and skills to react confidently and effectively in any emergency or medical situation involving a child, providing first response care while you wait for the arrival of qualified emergency services. It can make the difference between life and death for the children in your care and for whom you are responsible.
Participants will practice first responder CPR, choking response and wound care, on age-appropriate rescue dummies, all under the facilitation and guidance of a qualified and experienced facilitator.
This course does NOT include any written exams or assessments, focusing instead on the practical application of knowledge and skills, which means all child carers can attend and be trained on these vital skills.
